Qatar University (QU) and the Community College of Qatar (CCQ) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for co-operating in the academic field and conducting joint research.
QU president Dr Hassan al-Derham and CCQ president Mohamed bin Ibrahim al-Nuaimi were the signatories.
The MoU envisages exchange of data and statistics related to students who are transferred from CCQ to QU, and encourages the use of the facilities of both parties such as halls, theatres and others.
The MoU is mainly about the exchange of regulations, policies, procedures, use of faculty members, planning, implementation and participation in academic educational and training programmes, and health and safety systems.
Dr al-Derham described the partnership between QU and CCQ as that which falls within the framework of constructive scientific co-operation between two educational institutions providing excellent services to the community.
"Both entities seek to serve the community and lead the students towards a better future. The co-operation between the two institutions will encourage the students in many areas, especially in terms of co-operation between faculty members and participation in joint training and academic programmes.”
QU president also added that the signing of this MoU aims to develop and strengthen joint co-operation between them in order to benefit from their common potential in the fields of education, training, research and development.
