Fourteen Qatari experts took the legal oath at the Ministry of Justice as experts accredited to the judicial authorities in the country, in accordance with the regulations set out in Law No. 16 of 2017 on the regulation of works of expertise.

The experts were handed the registration certificate to start their duties after taking the oath and after they were registered within the roster experts in Department of Experts at the Ministry of Justice.

This batch includes a number of Qatari cadres with expertise in various specialties that include mechanical engineering, information technology, road projects engineering, machinery and commercial assets evaluation, as well as engineering, real estate, accounting, electrical and civil engineering specialties.

HE Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Dr. Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi wished the experts success in carrying out the tasks assigned to them and to provide assistance to the judiciary, to ensure the correctness and integrity of the judicial procedures.

The Minister affirmed the great role of assistant judges in upholding the rule of law and working to implement it, noting that the Ministry of Justice is looking forward to building an integrated Qatari legal system within its new strategic plan 2020-2022, by working to improve the services provided by the legal professions to the State and society, and the Ministry considers experts an active element in this system.

As part of its efforts to strengthen the national cadre of experts, the Ministry of Justice is currently working to increase the number of experts and diversify their fields of expertise, especially accurate and rare technical expertise, where an advanced system for the roster of experts has been developed with the aim of documenting and registering various experiences in all specialties, with the establishment of rules governing how experts are registered in the rosters and authorizing experts to engage in expert work.

The Ministry of Justice is working to prepare and qualify experts to practice the profession efficiently and impartially, through integrated training programs that applicants to practice the profession receive before taking the legal oath. Moreover, the Ministry has set controls for practicing expertise work, which will directly contribute to improving the quality and efficiency of the expertise provided to the concerned authorities.
