Qatar Airways Holidays announces new staycation packages for citizens and residents to ‘Stay Local, Feel Global’

Qatar Airways Holidays has announced new staycation packages for Qatar’s citizens and residents, offering 'a local vacation with a global feel'. The offer has been launched on World Tourism Day in support of Qatar’s hospitality sector.

Packages are available at five of Doha’s top hotels, which take their inspiration from around the world. Al Messila Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Mondrian Doha, Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels, W Doha, and the Westin Doha Hotel & Spa have been selected for Qatar Airways Holidays staycation packages.

Prices start from QR385 per person per night, including breakfast and dinner, for packages booked by October 15 for stays up to October 31.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, HE Akbar al-Baker, said: “With the ongoing coronavirus pandemic limiting international travel, we have designed a new selection of staycation packages for citizens and residents of Qatar that allow them to ‘stay local, feel global’. Qatar is home to so many incredible hotels that take their inspiration from all parts of the world, offering an international vacation experience from home. As the weather cools, now is the perfect time to take advantage of the outdoor pools, al fresco dining and lush gardens that our staycation package hotels offer.”

The staycation packages are carefully designed to provide customers in Qatar with a much-needed change of scenery in a safe and responsible manner. All of the hotels selected for these staycation packages have been accredited by the Qatar National Tourism Council and Ministry of Public Health ‘Qatar Clean’ initiative – a series of measures and regulations for hotels to follow to safeguard their guests and employees from Covid-19.
