Prince Philip has cancelled a trip to Italy – which was to begin yesterday - because of a cold, Buckingham Palace officials revealed. The prince, 90, has just returned from an 11-day tour of Australia at the side of Queen Elizabeth II. A palace spokesman said the prince had pulled out of a trip to Assisi, northern Italy, where he had been due to take part in the launch of a green pilgrimage scheme.
