The Cabinet on Wednesday affirmed the continuation of the precautionary measures taken to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, Qatar News Agency reported.
This came after the Cabinet was briefed by HE the Minister of Public Health Dr Hanan Mohamed al-Kuwari on the latest developments regarding the efforts made to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting at the Amiri Diwan.
Following the meeting, HE the Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Dr Issa bin Saad al-Jafali al-Nuaimi issued a statement on the details of the proceedings.
The Cabinet approved a draft decision by the Minister of Justice to issue a training list at the Centre for Legal and Judicial Studies.
It gave approval for the necessary measures to be taken to ratify an agreement between the Qatar and Albania on the abolition of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and special passports.
*The Cabinet also approved a draft agreement on the abolition of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, special and service passports between Qatar and Spain.
*A draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) and co-operation in agriculture and food security between Qatar's Ministry of Municipality and Environment and the Kyrgyz Republic.
*The Cabinet reviewed the semi-annual report on the work of the Permanent Water Resources Committee from January 1 to June 30, 2020, and took appropriate decision.
The committee's responsibilities include proposing policies and strategies related to water resources in line with the comprehensive development plans in the country while considering sustainability and environmental preservation, and approving the plans, programmes and projects related to the management and development of water resources submitted by the authorities with managing those resources, in addition to determining priorities for water resources development projects, proposing implementation programmes for them, and following up the implementation of programmes, projects and studies related to water resources.
