Katara – the Cultural Village, in co-operation with the Turkish Cultural Centre 'Yunus Emre', launched a new virtual exhibition featuring the works of a group of the most prominent Turkish calligraphers.

Titled 'Beautiful Calligraphy', the artists present a variety of creative paintings, which highlight the aesthetics of Arabic calligraphy.

'Beautiful Calligraphy' represents a series of virtual exhibitions of famous fine-artists via Katara’s online platforms, including Arabic calligraphy paintings.

The Turkish calligraphers - Hussein Oksuz, Sami Nadda, Abd al-Rahman Dobler, Sayed Ahmad Dobler, Abd al-Rahim Kahya, Sarqan Sail al-Maz - are showcasing their calligraphy works such as classical letters of various kinds: the Thuluth, Farisi, Kufi, and Diwani, in different various creative combinations, which mixed the magic of Arabic calligraphy with the spirit of contemporary art and the beauty of flowing colours.

These series of virtual exhibitions, launched by Katara through its social media accounts as part of its continuous initiatives, contribute to revitalising the fine-arts creativity in Qatar as part of confronting Covid-19 and preventing its spread.
