The second edition of the ‘Build Your House’ exhibition slated from March 22 to 24, 2021, is expected to showcase a large number of international exhibitors at Halls 8 and 9 of the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC), organiser NeXTFairs announced on Monday.

‘Build Your House 2020’ saw the participation of 120 exhibitors and was visited by more than 8,600 visitors over three days, 90% of which were Qatari nationals. Founded in Qatar and specially designed for the local market, the exhibition focused on assisting Qataris to understand the processes and procedures involved in building their homes.

The exhibition served as a collaborative platform that connected visitors, contractors, consultants, and suppliers who showcased their unique industry-related products and services. The 30 workshops were held where government and industry experts shared their field expertise in major topics like Islamic financing, legal, and architecture and design.

Build Your House 2021 is promising an expanded version, looking to attract more exhibitors and expertise in consulting, design, and contracting, in addition to two new services that will be introduced.

The latest edition will introduce new sectors — General Services and Smart Solution Technology companies, which will provide the visitors with more benefits and solutions needed for their residential projects.

Build Your House 2021 will also see a selection of international exhibitors joining the host of local exhibitors, and all the participants. The international exhibitors will be joining to encourage competition and to offer visitors a larger selection of choices, as well as bring in up to date products and technologies to the show.

The upcoming event will also host an exciting pre-show, where organisers will be hosting monthly webinars covering engaging, relevant, and informative topics of high interest to the Qatari audience.

Knowledge sharing will continue during the main event with exclusive ‘Continuing Professional Development’ workshops that will allow participants to build partnerships and establish connections with industry leaders and professionals as well as obtaining certificate of participation. The exhibition will also have a dedicated zone for young Qatari designers to showcase their creativity and bring their art to life.

Rawad Sleem, general manager of NeXTfairs, said: “In the second edition of Build Your House, we are determined to build on the success of the previous show. The Qatari government has allocated the largest budget for Qatari national of QR10bn annually. The state approved a budget to support long term loans for more than 50,000 Qatari families at an amount of approximately QR1.2mn per person, and 2,400 housing plots will be issued throughout the year.
