The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), represented by the Public Hygiene Department (Beaches and Islands Section), in co-operation with the Department of Environmental Protection, Natural Reserves and Wildlife, removed abandoned fishing nets at the beach of Fasht Al-Dibal area at Al Shamal.
The nets were found to be attached to the coral reefs and adversely affecting the marine environment.
