The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has listed the marine vessels permitted during the fourth phase of lifting Covid-19 precautionary restrictions.
“Your compliance with safety requirements shows your awareness of their importance,” it has said in a tweet.
The following types of vessels can operate at 30% of their carrying capacity, including the crew: personal boats, rental boats, yachts, daily cruising boats, jet boats and personal dhows, according to the MoI.
Water scooters are also allowed to operate, with only one person on board.
Phase 4 of the gradual lifting of Covid-19 curbs began on September 1 with schools reopening for the new academic year, Doha Metro and public bus services resuming operations and food courts reopening at malls, all with limited capacity, among other key developments.
The fourth phase has been divided into two stages, with the first one already underway and the next one scheduled to begin in the third week of September, as was announced by the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management recently.
All precautionary and preventive measures have been put in place to ensure protection from the virus, and the public has been urged to follow the guidelines provided by the relevant authorities for everyone’s safety.
