The General Directorate of Traffic, represented by the Traffic Patrols and Investigation Department, seized the vehicle which was seen in social media videos drifting in the Al Gharrafa area.
A tweet by the General Directorate of Traffic said legal action will be initiated against its driver.
The department officials also seized a number of vehicles involved in drifting on Al Majd Road. Legal action will be taken against drivers and efforts are on to seize to seize the remaining vehicles that were found taking part in drifting.
The directorate has stressed the need to follow traffic rules in order to ensure protection of road users from accidents.
