Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum (FBQ Museum) is set to launch its first exhibition of the three-part series, ‘Artists in the time of Covid-19, for artists based in Qatar. The three-month exhibition series will be open to the public from September 4 at FBQ Museum’s contemporary art space, The White Majlis, “where art lovers and museum visitors can elevate their tour with an exceptional experience and inspiring pieces of art”, a press statement notes.
In April, the museum launched its big community project, the ‘Artists in the time of Covid-19’ exhibition. Over the past months, FBQ Museum received an impressive variety of artworks by Qatar’s creative community wherein the artists expressed their feelings during the Covid-19 pandemic in a creative and expressive way, the statement added.
The first exhibition will kick off on September 4, while the second one will begin on October 9 and the final exhibition on November 13. All exhibitions will feature paintings, videos, prints, photographs, collage art and sculptures.
A space dedicated to young artists will be included as well.
The exhibitions will be open during regular museum opening hours. For admission hours and fees, one can visit www.fbqmuseum.org
