The embassy of Qatar in Albania has provided new medical aid through Qatar Charity to Albania in support of its efforts to confront the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

Modern and high-quality medical devices were delivered to the University Hospital Centre "Mother Teresa" in the presence of Albanian Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection Mira Rakacolli, and Acting Charge d'Affairs of the embassy of Qatar in Albania Nada Abdulrahman al-Sayed.

An agreement to deliver medical devices from Qatar Charity to the Albanian Ministry of Health and Social Protection was also signed.

The Albanian Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection expressed thanks and appreciation to Qatar for its continuous support to the Republic of Albania in all fields, noting that the Qatari medical devices will increase the capabilities of the Albanian health system and improve the level of medical services provided to citizens, and that it came at the best time to combat the novel coronavirus.

For her part, the Acting Charge d'Affairs of the embassy of Qatar in Albania said that this new aid comes within a series of assistance provided by Qatar to the Albanian government during the period of the coronavirus pandemic, stressing the embassy's keenness to make efforts to develop bilateral relations and enhance co-operation.
