The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a temporary closure of Al Khaleej Intersection (known as Mannai Intersection), Al Diwan Intersection and all lanes on Al Rayyan Street heading from Al Diwan Intersection towards Al Khaleej Intersection on Friday and Saturday (August 28, 29).

A section of Al Diwan Street in both directions starting from Al Diwan Intersection to the roundabout known as Al Bidda Roundabout will also be closed on the two days. The closure in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic is to complete works of final asphalt layers within A Ring Road Development and B Ring Road Development projects.

During the closure, users of Al Diwan Intersection coming from Majlis Al Taawon Street will have to use Al Bidda roundabout to turn left towards Al Corniche or make a U-turn then use Wadi Al Sail intersection to continue towards their destinations. Commuters from Kahrabaa Intersection will have to turn right at Al Diwan Intersection and use Al Jasra Intersection to reach their destinations.

Commuters wishing to use Gulf Intersection, which will be totally closed except for right turns and the underpass, will have to use the underpass to continue forward and use the next intersection to reach their destinations. Commuters from the White Palace intersection will have to turn right towards Wadi Musheireb Intersection and then continue to their destinations.

Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the closure and requested all to abide by the speed limit, and follow the road signs to ensure safety.
