The Excellence Centre for Training and Consulting at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) and Silatech have successfully completed the ‘Forsa’ programme held from July 4 to August 17, it was announced yesterday. The programme aimed to invest and develop the capabilities of Arab youth in building their leadership skills and strengthening their roles within society.
Over 4,200 trainees from 18 countries participated. They were from Qatar, Jordan, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Palestine, Sudan, Egypt, Guinea, Mauritania, Oman, Kuwait, Benin, Iraq, and Libya.
Many national and international entities also participated in ‘Forsa’, comprising: the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs (MADLSA), International Labour Organisation (ILO), Cisco, Unicef, Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Qatar Medical, Kahramaa, Ministry of Culture and Sports.
Dr Farid El Sahn, director of the Excellence Centre for Training and Consulting at DI said that the ‘Forsa’ programme covered six diverse training courses.
They were youth empowerment strategies, technology and youth identity, create your job, leader in a different time, positive youth leadership, and post-pandemic entrepreneurship.
A meeting was held at the end of the training with representatives of ILO and the MADLSA to familiarise participants with the rights and responsibilities associated with employment in international and local institutions.
