The country is expected to witness a noticeable rise in relative humidity from Sunday until the end of the week, the Qatar Met department has said.

This will be due to a shift in wind direction to easterly, which will range in speed from light to moderate at times, according to a statement issued by the department on Saturday.

There are chances of misty to foggy conditions in some areas late at night and early in the morning in the said period, the report states.

"Please be careful and follow latest updates through our official accounts," the department advised the public.

Meanwhile, the maximum temperature on Sunday is expected to be 40C in Abu Samra and 39C in Doha.

Saturday, a maximum of 46C was recorded in Turayna, followed by 45C in Sheehaniya, Mukaynis and Karana, 44C in Mesaimeer and Jumayliyah, 43C in the Qatar University area and Ghuwairiyah, and 42C in Doha (airport area) and Mesaieed.
