HE the Chairman of Qatar's Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza ambassador Mohamed al-Emadi stressed that Qatar is making intensive efforts to contain the escalation in the Gaza Strip, in parallel with the Qatari efforts to alleviate the humanitarian crisis experienced by the residents of the Strip.
Intensive Qatari contacts have been made over the past few hours and are continuing at the highest levels and with all parties to contain the escalation and spare the population of the Gaza Strip further crises, al-Emadi said.
He stressed that Qatar has been and will continue to support the brotherly Palestinian people at all levels, in order to alleviate their suffering.
Al-Emadi urged the international community, the United Nations and all relevant international organisations to fulfil their commitments and pledges towards providing the necessary support to the residents of the Gaza Strip to alleviate their suffering and improve life just as Qatar has committed to its pledges.
