Al Shamal Municipality’s general control section intensified its inspection campaigns during the Eid al-Adha holidays, in co-operation with the general cleanliness department and North Security Department, as part of the efforts undertaken to maintain the hygiene and beauty of beaches. The campaigns resulted in the detection of 64 violations of the Public Hygiene Law No 18 of 2017, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment said. Reports were issued and the necessary legal procedures taken accordingly. In addition, the inspectors concerned alerted 540 beach visitors to the need for disposing of waste only in designated places and tidy up the surroundings before they leave. They also instructed portable cabin owners to avoid parking in areas allocated for the general public.
