Mall of Qatar has hosted media representatives from Qatar for a "real shopping and dining experience" with precautionary and safety measures in line with the instructions of the relevant authorities in Qatar.
The media personnel were escorted by the Mall of Qatar management on a tour of the mall premises and introduced to the precautionary measures taken by the mall - starting from the entrance, while moving around, during dining and until they leave. The group followed the safety instructions, including wearing the mask, ensuring social distance and regularly sanitising the hands.

In appreciation of their effort, the mall hosted the media at a lunch with the mannequins, the latest initiative by Mall of Qatar launched during Eid al-Adha and with the start of Phase 3 of gradual lifting of Covid-19 restrictions. With restaurants and cafes in the mall receiving diners on their premises with limited capacity and safety standards that secure protection, visitors can now enjoy a creative dining experience with dressed-up mannequins in the restaurants and cafes to add excitement and ensure safe distance creatively, the mall has said in a statement.
"Mall of Qatar is committed to offering a safe and comfortable experience by following precautionary measures to safeguard visitors. These measures include enhanced hygiene and cleaning protocols, state-of-the-art thermal cams at all entrances, showing the 'green' code on the Ehteraz app on mobiles, more than 70 hand sanitation stations throughout the mall, and 80 handrail UV sanitisers to regularly sanitise the handrails of escalators and protect customers while moving in the mall," the statement explains.
Mall of Qatar has extended its "warm appreciation" to the ministries and authorities that are playing a major role in tackling the Covid-19 pandemic and its consequences, especially the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Supreme Committee for Crisis Management, and Qatar Red Crescent Society, whose volunteers are in the mall to provide support and assistance.
"Mall of Qatar, the 'Nation's Mall', is one of the main pillars in the retail and tourism sector in Qatar. By supporting Qatar National Vision 2030, Mall of Qatar contributes to the strategy of diversifying the economy, backing economic development and enhancing Qatar's image in the region as a center of excellence for high-end shopping. The mall genuinely offers unique shopping and dining experiences that can be thoroughly enjoyed every time to be the ultimate destination for visitors, shoppers and families," the statement adds.
