The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME)'s General Cleanliness Department has carried out a campaign cleaning and washing different areas of Doha city, including Corniche Street.
Also, 17 violation reports have been issued to street vendors on the Corniche and others for violating Public Hygiene Law No 18 of 2017, the MME has said.
The cleaning works have been carried out on a daily basis in three shifts, with monitoring round the clock, in order to maintain the cleanliness and beauty of such places.
The works have, in particular, been intensive in areas and facilities that are visited by a large number of people such as those having entertainment facilities, commercial streets and others.
In addition, special field teams had been dedicated to the cleaning of the Corniche and public gardens and parks, while the number of waste containers were increased accordingly.
