The Shura Council participated yesterday in a parliamentary seminar on Covid-19 and climate change. The seminar was organised by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), and Parliamentarians for the Global Goals (PFGG) via video conference technology. During the seminar, in which a number of experts in various fields took part, discussions focused on how to tackle the coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis, which could have long-term effects, in support of the Paris Climate Agreement and the sustainable development goals. Nasser bin Khalil al-Jaidah, member of the Council, represented the Shura Council at the seminar.
