Qatar Charity (QC) has received a donation from Black Cat Engineering & Construction in support of the former’s efforts aimed at fighting the Covid-19 outbreak and helping families and workers affected by the pandemic.

The contribution comes as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) policy to give back to the community where it runs the business, especially in this challenging time when the whole world is going through the pandemic, a press statement notes.

Jassim al-Emadi, director of the Local Development Department at QC, extended thanks and appreciation to the company management for the "kind gesture", expressing delight at "such a generous initiative that supports the humanitarian efforts of Qatar Charity within and outside the country", the statement points out.

He also urged other organisations and commercial establishments to continue supporting QC’s efforts to contribute to curbing the spread of the novel coronavirus and maximising the number of beneficiaries.

Boussaina Kalo Borchetta, senior corporate social responsibility officer at Black Cat Engineering & Construction, added: “The pandemic is impacting communities worldwide, and it’s never been more urgent to support those in need at this critical juncture. In pursuing its commitment towards social responsibility, Black Cat is delighted to join forces with Qatar Charity to alleviate the impact of Covid-19 on the more vulnerable members of our society.”

During the blessed month of Ramadan this year, Black Cat has launched the 'Make a wish. Be a star. Inspire us – We will get through this together' initiative, wherein every individual has been able to make a wish via the company's website. For every wish posted, Black Cat has contributed an amount to Qatar Charity.
