The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced the conversion of Fereej Abdul Aziz Intersection, also known as Hafsa Intersection, on B-Ring Road into a temporary roundabout while keeping two lanes open in all directions.
In co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, this change will be implemented from tomorrow for a period of six months to enable expansion and upgrading works at Fereej Abdul Aziz Intersection and installation of new traffic lights, as part of the B-Ring Road Development Project, Ashghal said in a statement yesterday.
The authority had previously announced a temporary closure on B-Ring Road, from Al Doha Al Jadeeda Intersection to Fereej Abdelaziz Intersection. So, road users coming from Al Matar Street can use Salah Al Deen Street and then turn left towards Ibn Al Awwam Street and turn right towards B-Ring Road to get to the Fereej Abdelaziz temporary roundabout and continue to reach their destinations, as shown on the attached map. Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the closure. It also requests all road users to abide by the speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
