Al Shafallah Centre, a Qatar Social Work subordinate, won three awards in the international visual arts competition organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organisation (Unesco), through the Louis Francois Centre in Troyes, France.
The competition was launched in September 2019 for children and youth aged three years to 25 years, under the title "planet earth..today.. and tomorrow".
It aimed to raise global awareness of the importance of spreading the culture of preserving the environment and life on Earth from pollution, where the participants, children, and youth express the importance of preserving the planet from various manifestations of pollution through artwork.
On this occasion, Executive Director of Al Shafallah Centre, Laalei Abu Alfain, said that the social integration of persons with disabilities is one of the most important goals that Al Shafallah Centre seeks to achieve, through their active participation in local and international competitions that highlight their talents and abilities.
