Al Shamal Municipality, represented by the general control section in the municipal control department, in co-operation with the department of mechanical equipment and security authorities concerned, carried out 1,860 inspection tours to detect abandoned vehicles and equipment in the first half of 2020. The campaign resulted in the detection of 605 such abandoned vehicles and equipment, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment said, adding that notices were placed on them for necessary action. Also, a total of 49 neglected vehicles were removed in this period while 20 violation reports were issued, 18 of which were settled through reconciliation.
