Outgoing Indian ambassador P Kumaran was given a farewell party by golfers from the Indian community recently. Kumaran who is an avid golfer has been active in the golfing community and has won several tournaments during his three years term in Doha. 
Sibi George, Indian ambassador to Switzerland & Vatican was a surprise guest at the zoom party organised by Qatar Golf Lovers. 
George, also an active golfer is a founder member of QGL when it was founded in 2001. George will be taking charge as Indian ambassador to Kuwait shortly. 
Kumaran’s next posting is Singapore. Golfers organised a golf tournament nicknamed “Singapore Swing” in his honour. The competition between Ambassador’s team & QGL Captain PK Mathew’s team had a nail biting finish where the Ambassador had to concede defeat at the final hole by a narrow margin. 
“Ambassador has beaten me in every competition in the last three years, this is a sweet revenge,” said Mathew.
