Al Shamal Municipality’s general control section has conducted a number of inspection campaigns to detect public hygiene violations on Al Ghariya beach over the past two weeks. This was done in conjunction with the reopening of beaches to the public as part of Phase 2 of the gradual lifting of Covid-19 restrictions. The campaign, which was conducted in co-operation with the North Security Department, helped detect a number of violations of the Public Hygiene Law, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment said, adding that all necessary legal procedures were taken against the violators. Besides, the inspectors have asked the owners of private caravans and vehicles to park only in designated areas and observe general cleanliness by dumping waste in the allotted places before leaving the beach.
