The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced the permanent removal of Sheikh Faisal Roundabout on Al Gharrafa Street and the closure of the south access from Al Mashabiya Street to Al Gharrafa Street from July 10 for a month.
The closure will be implemented in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
Road users coming from Al Mashabiya Sreet and heading towards Izghawa are advised to use New Al Hateem Street and Al Belwar Street instead of Al Gharrafa Street to reach their destination, Ashghal has said in a tweet.
Road users coming from New Al Hateem Street and heading south towards Al Gharrafa Street are advised to use Lijmilya Street to reach their destination, it adds.
Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the closure. It has requested all road users to abide by the existing speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
