The College of Education at Qatar University (QU) has ranked 301-400 globally in The Shanghai International Ranking of Universities according to specialisations (Social Sciences) 2020.
The college dean Dr Ahmed al-Emadi said: “This classification is a reflection of the college's efforts to maintain international standards in its academic programmes in order to excel and provide academic outputs of international quality.
"It is also an international recognition that the college has become a reference for students, academics and educational leaders in Qatar in relation to (education) according to international education standards.”
“This ranking will motivate us to develop ourselves over the next two years in the hope that we will be among the top 200 colleges.
"On this occasion, I would like to thank QU president Dr Hassan al-Derham, and the vice president for Academic Affairs, Dr Omar al-Ansari and all those who spared no effort to provide all necessary resources to help the college and raise its status,” he added.
