British pop singer Lily Allen married her fiance Sam Cooper in a quiet ceremony in the countryside yesterday.
The 26-year-old was escorted into the church in Cranham, southwest England, by her comedian-actor father Keith Allen and was cheered on by a crowd that gathered outside.
Nearly 100 guests attended, including comedian Harry Enfield and television presenter Angus Deayton.
The newlyweds have been together since 2009.
“Alright, Still”, Allen’s best-selling debut album, brought the singer international fame in 2006 when it sold over 2.6mn copies, producing a number one British single, “Smile”, and earning Allen a Grammy nomination.
