The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) has nominated it’s deputy president and Qatar Table Tennis Federation president Khalil Ahmed al-Muhannadi to World Table Tennis (WTT) board.
The WTT board will contribute to increasing global table tennis investments, and better marketing of the game through the introduction of competitions with large financial rewards and huge returns from television broadcasting and sponsorship.
The ITTF announced during the last period an intensive development plan for the game, from 2021. Al-Mohannadi is in constant contact with ITTF’s team in Singapore through videoconferencing to follow up on the latest developments and implement new ideas.  Al-Mohannadi was chosen by the executive committee to be a managing director and representative of the ITTF in the WTT, in recognition of his efforts to advance the world table tennis.
A number of heads of Arab and continental federations congratulated al-Mohannadi on his selection for this important position, expressing their confidence in his ability to advance the game. Al-Mohannadi thanked the ITTF and the world table tennis family for its confidence in him, acknowledging the difficulty of the mission, especially with the challenges of coronavirus pandemic, which imposed a new mechanism in dealing with all sporting events.
The President of the Qatar and Arab Table Tennis Federations said that he understands very well that the international federation puts all its weight in this new body because it represents the future of table tennis in the world during the coming years, and that they will work as one team with great diligence in order to make a quantum leap in world table tennis.
