The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a temporary traffic diversion and one-lane closure on the service road leading to the Al Gharrafa Immigration traffic signal for those heading to Al Shamal Road.
The traffic diversion will be implemented from Monday to allow the replacement and rehabilitation works of the foul sewer network, Ashghal has said in a statement. The new road status will remain in place until September 15.
The proposed changes will be carried out in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
As shown on the attached map, the Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the traffic shift and request all road users to abide by the speed limit, which will be at 30kph along the route, and to follow road signs to ensure their safety.
