The General Directorate of Traffic on Saturday said vehicles impounded for more than three months will be put on auction if the penalties and 'ground fees' are not paid within 30 days.

In a notification on the Ministry of Interior's social media pages , the directorate said the owners of vehicles that have been impounded for more than three months should approach the Traffic Investigation Section in the Industrial Area, Street 52.

They should then complete the necessary procedures and take back their vehicles after paying the penalties and 'ground fees' within 30 days effective from June 21, the notification states.

In case the owners of the seized vehicles do not show up within the specified period, the General Directorate of Traffic will cancel the vehicles that have completed the legal period from the traffic records and display them for sale in auction, the notification adds.
