Qatar Charity (QC) has launched the ‘Rescue Mission’ initiative, in co-operation with Qatari youth initiatives, as part of the relief campaign named “A call of Humanity” to contribute to helping and saving thousands of lives affected by the Covid-19 pandemic around the world.

The rescue team, which aims to raise QR1mn to help those affected by Covid-19, consists of seven youth initiatives, such as 974 Event Management, Sanad for Community Services, Future Compass, Our Hope, Greener Future, Kholoqi, and Shabaab 22 initiatives.

These initiatives aim to contribute to the humanitarian efforts of QC to enable the most vulnerable people to overcome these challenging conditions, and to support the health sector in 34 countries around the world to withstand the coronavirus epidemic and limit its spread.

These initiatives compete in carrying out this mission by raising donations urgently to reach out to the largest number of people affected by the coronavirus. Currently, 974 Event Management tops the list with the highest amount collected, followed by Sanad for Community Services and Future Compass initiatives.

QC calls on benefactors to participate in the rescue team's mission by urgently donating for those affected by the coronavirus. A contribution to the mission can be made through the link (qch.qa/RM) in addition to donating to each initiative via SMS.

It is worth mentioning that QC has been quick to support the efforts aimed at combating the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in 34 countries around the world through its field offices, benefiting nearly 1,422,679 affected people so far.

The aid, distributed in co-ordination with the concerned authorities, includes medical and protective devices and equipment and the necessary materials.
