Kuwait’s Health Ministry yesterday, reported 487 new coronavirus infections, bringing the tally to 31,131, while deaths reached 254 after recording 10 cases.
In a statement to Kuwait news agency Kuna, the ministry’s spokesperson Dr Abdullah al-Sanad said that the new cases related to people who were in close contact to previous patients.
The Health Ministry’s official spokesperson Dr Abdullah al-Sanad said that the new cases included 195 Kuwaiti nationals,and the others related to different nationalities. Dr al-Sanad noted that the number of swabs conducted during the last 24 hours, amounted 2, 724, with the whole count of such examinations reaching 311,624.
Meanwhile, the Omani Ministry of Health reported yesterday 930 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19). The ministry said, in a statement, that among the new cases recorded, 239 were Omanis and 691 were non-Omanis, bringing the total number of cases registered in the country to 16,016, and 72 deaths, while 3,451 cases recovered. The statement noted that the total checks that were conducted during the past 24 hours amounted to 2,463.
