Al Rayyan Municipality’s Health Control Department conducted 1,025 inspection tours on various food facilities and outlets and issued 40 violation reports, including 31 resolved in reconciliation. In addition, the director of the municipality issued 10 administrative decisions to shut down as many food outlets for violating the stipulations of law No 8 of 1990 on the regulation of human food control.
Further, the municipality veterinarians inspected the slaughtering of 4,422 heads of livestock, and ordered the destruction of 44 whole carcasses, in addition to 312kg of meat for being unfit for human consumption.
