Al Sheehaniya Municipality’s Health Control Section has intensified inspection efforts at food establishments on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, with a special focus on the nuts, sweets stores and meat shops, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) has said in a statement. Two violation reports were issued during the campaign in accordance with Law No 8 of 1990 on the regulation of human food control, the statement noted. The MME has stressed that such inspection tours will continue to ensure that these establishments comply with the health and safety regulations when handling food products to ensure the safety of consumers.
