Inspectors of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment's (MME) Fisheries Department has spotted a number of unlicensed street vendors selling fish from vehicles outside the Umm Salal Central Market.
The violations were documented with photos and videos.
Co-ordination was maintained with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry's Commercial Registration and Licenses Department to carry out the inspection campaigns.
Accordingly, the necessary violation reports were issued and the legal procedures taken against the violators.
Such campaigns will continue to ban these illegal practices, the MME said in a statement yesterday.
