Classes for the 2020/21 academic year will begin on September 1, it was reported yesterday.
HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Mohamed Abdul Wahed Ali al-Hammadi issued a ministerial decision to amend some provisions of the annual calendar of schools for the 2019/2020 academic year, the official QNA said.
According to the decision, the dates for the second-semester exams for all grades (from 1 to 12, for day and adult education), for the 2019/2020 academic year will be held from August 23 to 31.
“The schools’ staff will return to work on August 19 for the 2020/2021 academic year, while students’ attendance in schools for the same academic year starts on September 1,” QNA added.
