Qatar Chamber announced that it will hold its general assembly meeting at 12 noon on May 21, Thursday, to be presided over by its chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim al-Thani, through a video conference.
Holding the meeting over video conference is part of the Chamber’s adherence with the precautionary measures taken by the government to curb the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19), the chamber said in a statement Sunday.

Qatar Chamber director-general Saleh bin Hamad al-Sharqi called on businessmen and the Chamber’s members to register before attending the meeting.
Registration is ongoing through www.qatarchamber.com, al-Sharqi said.
He also said the registration will be open until Thursday, but will close one hour before the meeting. He noted that that after the registration, each member will receive a link to follow up and participate in the meeting.
Al-Sharqi pointed out that if a quorum is not achieved at the first meeting, the second meeting would be held on Monday, June 8, regardless of the number of attendees.
The meeting’s agenda includes the review of the board of director’s report on the activities of Qatar Chamber for the year ended December 31, 2019.
The meeting’s agenda also includes a discussion on Qatar Chamber’s fiscal report for the year ending December 31, 2019, through the auditor’s report on the final accounts, and the statement of income and expenses for the same period.
Similarly, the agenda also included the approval of the estimated budget for the fiscal year 2020, and the appointment of a new auditor for the financial year 2020, the statement added.
