* PHCC health centres have to date tested more than 14,500 patients
* Testing is being further expanded to protect the most vulnerable

An individual can now visit a Covid-19 Test and Hold centre as a walk-in patient to be swabbed if s/he displays novel coronavirus symptoms, the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has said.
The corporation has dedicated four of its health centres (HCs) as Covid-19 Test and Hold centres in response to the Covid-19 outbreak, it was highlighted in an infographic published on the social media pages of the Ministry of Public Health, PHCC and Hamad Medical Corporation Sunday.
The four health centres are Muaither, Rawdat Al Khail, Um Slal and Gharafat Al Rayyan.
"Committed to curbing the disease, PHCC health centres have to date tested more than 14,500 patients," the infographic states. "Testing is being further expanded to protect the most vulnerable."
The four health centres designated for Covid-19 testing have highly qualified and trained staff, as well as the necessary facilities, to handle cases. This was stressed by Dr Mohamed al-Otaibi, senior consultant of family medicine at the PHCC’s Leabaib Health Centre, while speaking to Qatar TV on Saturday.
The staff at the four centres have the necessary protective equipment and know how to properly use them, and constant training is imparted in line with the latest updates and data received from the entities concerned with Covid-19, as new information on different aspects of the novel coronavirus keeps coming in, he added.
