His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al -Thani held on Wednesday evening a telephone conversation with Dr Angela Merkel, Chancellor of the friendly Federal Republic of Germany.
During the phone call, they discussed the strategic relations between the two friendly countries and the prospects for enhancing them, besides the efforts made by both countries in combating the new coronavirus (Covid-19 ).
In this regard the German Chancellor expressed her thanks and appreciation to the Amir for the Qatar Airways' role in returning German nationals from different parts of the world to Germany during this crisis.
Discussions also dealt with the most important developments, regionally and internationally, particularly the latest developments in Libya and Afghanistan.
