The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs (MADLSA) has recorded violations by five companies for not adhering to the precautionary measures announced during the opening of the Industrial Area.
The companies, which operate workshops and garages and also provide carpentry services, were found violating health and safety requirements in the workplace and housing facilities and not adhering to the rule on wearing of masks.
Accordingly, the ministry has recorded violations in this regard. The action comes within the framework of inspection campaigns carried out by the MADLSA in the Industrial Area in co-operation with the competent authorities.
The ministry has stressed that all companies must adhere to the Labour Law and the ministerial decisions implementing it, as well as the MADLSA's measures that companies must follow to curb the spread of Covid-19 to avoid legal procedures in this regard.
The ministry has designated a hotline, 40280660, to report violations related to the safety of workers in housing facilities and workplaces.
