Met Dept warns of thundershowers, strong winds

Weather inshore tonight until 6am Thursday will be mild with scattered clouds and a chance of light rain at some places maybe thundery at times, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report, warning of thundery rain expected at some places.
Offshore, it will be scattered to partly cloudy at times with chance of scattered rain, the report added, warning of expected strong wind and high sea by late night.
Wind inshore will be mainly northwesterly to northeasterly 07 to 17 knot, gusting 21 knot at places at times.
Offshore, it will be mainly southeasterly to northeasterly 05 to 15 knot, gusting to 25 knot at times by late night.
Visibility will be 4 to 8/3 km or less at places at times.

Sea state inshore will be 1 to 3 feet, rises to 5 feet at times by late night. Offshore, it will be 2 to 4 feet rises to 8 feet at times by late night.
