Qatar Charity (QC) has stressed that it continues to implement its Ramadan projects in many countries across the world, in conjunction with providing preventive and health assistance to combat the spread of Covid-19.
This is done in the presence of some ambassadors of Qatar to the targeted countries as well as some local officials.
Through its offices in Albania, Indonesia, Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan, food baskets and preventive materials were distributed to fight the spread of the coronavirus, benefiting dozens of thousands of people, QC said in a statement.









* Albania
In Albania, Qatar Charity distributed food baskets and protective supplies to 750 families of orphans and poor families in the presence of Ali bin Hamad al-Marri, Qatar's ambassador to Albania.
The materials distributed included protective supplies such as sterilisation materials, hand sanitisers, cloth detergents, floor cleaners, gloves and masks, in addition to food baskets containing the essential food items.
On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, QC - through its office in Albania - distributed food baskets to 1,600 families sponsored
by Qatar Charity.
Al-Marri lauded QC for its humanitarian support and appreciated the efforts of donors in Qatar for the benefit of the Albanian people.

* Indonesia
Qatar Charity, through its office in Indonesia, also distributed 12,500 food parcels to the families of orphans and poor families who are sponsored by QC in different cities of the country.
Some 7,000 food baskets were distributed in Jakarta, while 4,500 food parcels were distributed in Aceh and 750 food baskets in Bogor. Besides, 250 food baskets were distributed in different mosques. It is also expected that Eid clothing will be distributed to 20 orphaned girls and boys.

* Kyrgyzstan
QC's field team in the Kyrgyz Republic distributed 14,032 meals to poor families in four region of the country, in addition to security checkpoints, quarantine places and field hospitals. A number of relief and humanitarian projects are also being implemented during the holy month of Ramadan, including the distribution of food baskets, preventive materials and awareness leaflets.

* Pakistan
In Pakistan, Qatar Charity’s office, in co-ordination with the provincial governments, distributed 4,000 food baskets. This benefited nearly 24,000 people in Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
