The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced that requests to issue birth certificates for newborns, after receiving an advance date, will be received from April 26 in accordance with the recommended health precautions and within the framework of the measures taken to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

The announcement has been posted on the ministry’s website and social media platforms.

Patients can obtain advance appointments by contacting birth registration offices in government and private hospitals from 9.30am to 12.30pm by contacting the following:

* Birth registration office – Women’s Wellness and Research Centre (44092144-44092145)

* Birth registration office – Al Ahli Hospital (44898194-44898195)

* Birth registration office – Sidra Medicine (40031424-40031404)

* Birth registration office – Al Wakra Hospital (40115288)

* Birth registration office – Al Khor Hospital (44745274-44745276)

To obtain the service, the following must be adhered to:

* Obtain a prior appointment, with the need to adhere to the specific time for each patient. In case of non-compliance with the time, the date set for the patient will be cancelled. In this case, they must obtain a new appointment.

* Fill out the blue form designated for notification and registration of newborns (https://www.moph.gov.qa/Admin/Lists/Services%20Documents%20and%20Forms/Attachments/141/Newborn-Registration-form.pdf) prior to your scheduled appointment.

* Attach all required documents.

* Refrain from photocopying any documents inside birth registration offices.
