The competent authorities at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) have arrested four people for violating the decision to prevent gatherings in public places, the MoI said Tuesday on Twitter.
The arrests were made after the authorities confirmed the content of a video that had been circulating, which showed the four people on Al Maroona beach, according to the MoI.
They, along with those who took the video, were referred to the prosecution, the MoI added.
The ministry called on citizens and residents to abide by the decision to prevent public gatherings for their own safety and that of others and help curb the spread of Covid-19.
