The competent authorities at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) have arrested 10 people for violating the decision to ban gatherings in public places.
The defendants were arrested after the spread of a video clip on social media showing a group of people gathering in the sand dunes area of southern Qatar, the MoI tweeted.
The relevant authorities reached out to the violators and those who made the video, and they were being referred to the Prosecution, the MoI noted.
The authorities concerned have called upon the general public to strictly follow the decision to prevent gatherings in public places in order to safeguard themselves and the community.
