The Ministry of Interior (MoI) received 574 complaints regarding quarantine from March 20 until Wednesday, it was announced Wednesday evening.
The ministry had recently urged people to contact 44579999 to "report complaints regarding quarantine in hotels and homes, as well as cases of non-compliance with health and safety guidelines", to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
"Your commitment to stay in quarantine means that you fulfil your national and moral obligation towards yourself and others. Your safety is important to us," the MoI said in a statement posted on Twitter Wednesday. "We welcome your queries and comments."

Earlier in the day, the MoI issued a series of posts on social media reminding people that "staying away from all forms of gathering, including social events, in these circumstances supports the efforts of the relevant authorities" to prevent the spread of coronavirus in Qatar.
"Community security in general, and health security in particular, are a shared responsibility. It requires your strict compliance with decisions and precautionary measures to protect society," the ministry stressed.
The decision to ban gatherings in parks and on beaches will provide a safe and healthy environment. "It is important to stick to it to ensure safety for all," it added.
Compliance with the precautionary measures taken by the State to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the country is a national and moral obligation towards yourself and others, the MoI added.
