In implementation of the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to provide financial assistance to Palestinians in Gaza worth $150mn over six months, HE the Chairman of Qatar’s Gaza Reconstruction Committee ambassador Mohamed al-Emadi said that the committee, in co-operation with Qatar Fund for Development, began providing assistance to the people of Gaza in support of the UN humanitarian and aid efforts.
HE al-Emadi said that the financial support provided to the different quarantine centres in Gaza aims to provide food, basic electronic products, furniture, in addition to the fuel required to supply electricity to those centres, as part of the efforts to support Gaza’s fight to contain the virus and Qatar’s international efforts towards it.
He added that the process of providing aid is carried out in co-operation with the designated ministries and authorities led by Gaza’s Ministry of Social Development and
Ministry of Health.
