Alfardan Premier Motors Company, the official retailer of Jaguar Land Rover vehicles in Qatar, secured two “top motoring accolades” at the second annual Golden Steering Awards.
Qatar’s leading automotive media, Arab Motors Middle East (AMME), in collaboration with Xtork magazine, recently hosted the ‘2020 Golden Steering Awards’.
The awards celebrated the best SUV and 4x4 vehicles available from different retailers across Qatar.
The competition this year judged several categories including large, luxury, mid-size and compact SUVs. AMME’s special test driving team dedicated time and expertise to test this year’s entries.
Assessed over a two-month period, every participating car underwent an extreme trial of performance and efficiency of its engine, suspension, and its latest technology.
Shortlisted vehicles then endured extreme test conditions and performance runs across different terrain ranging from rough trails to sand tracts and asphalt roads as they bid to top their respective categories for a coveted Golden Steering award.
Nabil al-Hassan, editor in chief, AMME said, “The Golden Steering Awards have become a yearly milestone celebrating the best of the SUV and 4X4 vehicle segments. This year we saw 16 models shortlisted for the top awards from various dealers across Qatar.”
AMME’s CEO Hassan al-Hassan added, “Our test drive team truly pushed the contenders to their limits before reaching a decision in the most professional and fair way. We aim to make the third edition of these prestigious awards even more exciting and with more surprises. A distinguished affair, the Golden Steering Awards have become a much-awaited annual automotive event on local and regional calendars.”
Two stand-out winners at this year’s awards came from Alfardan Premier Motors. The superb Jaguar F-PACE SVR earned the title of ‘Best Performance Luxury SUV’, while the Range Rover Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition landed the ‘Best Mid-size Luxury SUV’ award.
Hussein Adra, Marketing & Customer Relationship manager, Alfardan Premier Motors said, “From Alfardan Premier Motors’ point of view, the biggest advantage of the annual Golden Steering Awards is that judges are true Middle East automotive experts. Not only are they knowledgeable car enthusiasts, they understand our market thanks to their many years of regional experience.
“To have a vehicle shortlisted for one of these significant awards is high recognition, but to be selected as a segment winner in two categories is even better. We are extremely proud of this achievement.”
Ziad Bou Chacra, sales manager, Alfardan Premier Motors added: “We are absolutely delighted that two Jaguar Land Rover models have received such meaningful and worthy accolades from the Golden Steering Awards. The Jaguar F-PACE SVR combines Jaguar’s signature stunning performance with exceptional luxury and cutting-edge technology for maximum driver reward in all conditions.
“Designed as the pinnacle of the Velar line-up, the Range Rover Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition strikes a brilliant balance between go-anywhere practicality, dynamic performance and relaxing comfort.”
Alfardan Premier Motors has captured a significant and growing share of the local market built on the company’s customer service focus. Furthermore, the company has a rigorous process to ensure it maintains the best practices in the industry and delivers the highest possible levels of customer care to its elite clientele, which in turn further strengthens the brands.
